On February 16, 2024, the Asahi Shimbun's Asahi haikuist network featured an English haiku by Kagaya Sanae (Butoh artist, Tomoe Shizune and Hakutobo) at the opening of the issue. We would like to introduce it to you. The selector is Professor David McMurray, a haiku poet and professor of the International university of Kagoshima.
At the beginning of the FROM THE NOTEBOOK corner of the same article, her haiku is featured along with an introduction as a Butoh artist.
