The CD of the piano composition work "kare-san-sui" has been released by Eva-Maria Houben who is the pianist, organist and composer from Germany. She dedicated to this piano piece "kare-san-sui" for Sanae Kagaya (TOMOE SHIZUNE & HAKUTOBO).
This work originates from the encounter between Eva-Maria Houben and Sanae Kagaya they participated in the program "KLANGRAUM" organized by contemporary musicfs "edition wandelweiser" in Dusseldorf, Germany in the summer of 2019. During the five-days program, Eva-Maria Houben played piano every morning in her composition "Meditations sur le piano" series. Sanae Kagaya participated by Butoh in the work "kitan" planned by actor Joep Dorren. Sanae collaborated with Joep, Antoine Beuger who artistic director of wandelweiser and participating artists.
We, Eva-Maria Houben and Sanae Kagaya were deeply intimate with each otherfs performances that were Eva-mariafs piano and Sanaefs Butoh and shared our emotions.
With this as an opportunity, Eva-Maria Houben began creating new compositions for Sanae Kagaya in 2019, leading to this release.
We would like to deliver the work that grew out of mutual friendship.
The score of this work is published by the "edition wandelweiser", and the CD is released by Eva Maria Houben's music label "diafani".
