In
Paris, 1978, The experience of the time and space at Japan called
a big echovisualized by ISOZAKI Arata. One of nine spaces, Noh
stage, named "darkness" to dance the butoh dance of HIJIKATA Tatsumi
"Twelve aspect of Dancing Princess of darkness" were being enclosed
by the spectator every day. It was this "MA" exhibition that the
butoh dance had been introduced to foreign countries for the first
time. The Butoh of "RENYO - sho" by TOMOE SHIZUNE is presented
in the "MA-the return after 20 years" at this time. The Butoh
of TOMOE SHIZUNE was spoken very highly, and had left a big footprint
for the sublime of the HIJIKATA butoh with the New York Times
paper with 'Beyond BUTOH' by which the category of a past dance
was exceeded and the root of the dance was told in 1994. TOMOE
SHIZUNE can be called the only Butoh dancer who will live in the
myth of the dance soon as The Miracle Worker by which the dance
soul of HJIKATA Tatsumi is succeeded to. In Tokyo, 2000, it looks
forward to holding "MA - the return after 20 years", how the beauty
